
To facilitate high-precision, high-accuracy and high-speed characterization, Alvand has developed its own in-house testing environment. Our engineers have developed several efficient programs in MATLAB and C. The main purpose for automating the test procedure is to reduce testing time and to perform thorough characterization in a timely manner with high-reliability and high-accuracy.
In addition to the award-winning IP cores, Alvand Technologies offers a MATLAB Data-Converter (DC) Toolbox™ for the accurate design and test/characterization of high-speed ADC/DAC in MATLAB. Alvand's valuable toolbox has been widely adopted by mixed-signal engineers worldwide.

Alvand designs its own test chip for the IPs to verify functionality and performance over process, voltage and temperature.
Alvand's proprietary ALV_SPI (Serial Programmable Interface) is utilized for high-speed and accurate measurements with different testing functions. ALV_SPI utilizes its own custom-designed registers to carry out these complex tests.
In addition, custom digital circuits (Automatic Test Units) are designed in the test chip to implement various auto test features. These built-in auto tests reduce the testing time while also maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

Alvand develops its own evaluation boards for complete characterization of all specifications. Our evaluation boards are carefully designed to incorporate input/output terminations as described in the specifications in order to provide accurate characterization results to our customers. All of our test chips include Automatic Test Unit (ATU).
The EVB boards are designed so that Alvand's Automatic Test Platform's (ATP) test equipment can properly communicate with a test chip's automatic test blocks and can reliably capture data for extensive post-processing using the data converter toolbox™ (DC_Toolbox). The characterization steps are automated which allows us to produce accurate and repeatable results in a short time period.
Alvand possesses full in-house lab and characterization capabilities to test and characterize the most advanced ASICs and IPs. To maintain a high degree of accuracy, all of our equipment is from prominent high end vendors.
